v0.1 may still change. v1.0 is the point at which a field that exists does not move again without a version. Protocol versions and API versions stay independent.

What ships

A freeze of the objects that have been running: subjects, addresses, requests, authorisation, receipts, the URI grammar, signatures, error codes. The changelog remains the record. Anything still RESERVED stays RESERVED — a freeze is not a fill.

What it is not

A promise that products stop changing. Operators version their surfaces. PATH versions the formats.
